Cockroach Gel – Long Lasting Effect Treatment for Cockroaches
When you’re dealing with the cockroach you have to realize that you are dealing with a creature that has inhabited the earth for almost 400 million years.
The first thing you think of when you are dealing with cockroaches is that they are not only disease ridden, but are also filthy and go to any dark and dirty place on the planet.
Cockroaches carry almost 33 separate types of bacteria, six different parasitic worms, and almost seven different types of human pathogens according to the National Pest Management Association.
Some of these human pathogens include cholera, tuberculosis, typhoid and dysentery. They are also known to carry 28 different bacteria, this includes salmonella.
You have to have to remember due to the way they exist they can be carrying any disease or bacteria that live on sewage or decaying organic matter.
In addition, since roaches call damp dark places their home, they are exposed mold. The roach exoskeleton accumulates mold and is shed and as it decays the exoskeleton along with the mold will affect those that suffer from allergies.
It is said that the roach is a close second to the dust mite for causing allergic reactions.
A cockroach infestation can occur in even the cleanest of homes. They find their way in by various means, cracks in your home’s foundation, through windowsills and even right through your front door.
Other ways include any new deliveries, sacks of potatoes and even your paper grocery bags. I hate to say it, but even visitors to your home can bring them in, via a purse or a coat pocket, if they themselves have an infestation.
If you are unlucky enough to have a female enter your home with an egg sac attached to her stomach you have just adopted anywhere from 16 to 50 nymphs or baby cockroaches when hatching occurs.
These new babies will grow, eat and live in your home and once they become adults the males and the females will start mating producing more eggs and you will have a full blown infestation.
One way to fight this infestation is by utilizing cockroach gel baits. They are very effective at killing the roaches; the only thing required is patience, since it is slow acting.
It works by killing the roach that eats the poison and then killing the roach that eats the dead roach. These gel baits are easy to use, all you need to do is to establish where the roaches are coming from, such as openings and cracks in your cabinets or walls.
Another way to determine where to place the traps is to take a flashlight to dark areas of your home to see if they are coming from any nooks or crannies, especially in the bathroom and kitchen.
Place the bait in the areas you determined are the roaches entry or living space, whether under the sink or in your cabinets. There are gel baits that can be used near food, but the instructions must be followed implicitly.
The cockroach gel baits should be checked every few days to see if they have been eaten or dried out.
