Australia has more than 16 species of possums. Common brushtail possum is the most familiar and abundant in the country. It’s a nocturnal, marsupial with a bushy tail and pointy ears.
They are frequently considered a nuisance. They love to munch fruits and vegetables so they could damage your plants in the yard. They could also create a fire hazard by chewing on electrical wiring.
Once they feel threatened, they could attack or bite you to protect themselves. This is why possum removal is not suggested to be done on your own, but always with a team of individuals trained for handling possums.
